i remember having classes until 10 pm and walking home from them because campus escort services can take up to half an hour to get to you depending on where they are and if they’re answering other calls and my house is about 10 minutes from the university and sometimes i just wanted to go home.

and whenever i told someone this for whatever reason, their first response was usually, ‘why would you do that! you’re just asking to get raped.’

incidentally, my rapist was no stranger in the night but an acquaintance i met through a trusted friend, who violated me while another friend slept in the next room.

then people have the nerve to get mad when i get mad.
